Another great week of Football! The conditions were just right: not too cold, not too wet, and not too hard on the ground. Planning again for New Year's Day - come if you can.

Merry Christmas?

I wish everyone's Christmas could be like the one here in this picture - filled with tons of presents and decorations; with a warm fire burning and probably a great meal being prepared. Our Christmas, though not so elaborate, was still great as we spent the day with my family, enjoyed a delicious meal, opened some presents, and remembered the true meaning. Though it is impossible for everyone to have the same experience, my prayer is that they at least felt some joy on this holy of holy days and that they know that there is a God who loves them. Amen.

Over this past weekend and yesterday it snowed - a lot. But, that didn't stop a few of us (Axel, Josh, Geo, Luis, and me) from playing football Saturday morning. Actually, there were 6 of us because some random kid named Franky walked up to us asking for a smoke, and we instead invited him to play. So, we had 3 on 3, and it was just right and it was a blast!

I love playing Football in the snow. There's just something about it. Maybe it’s because you can get tackled and it won’t hurt as much. Maybe it’s because your face freezes and you can’t feel your cheeks. Who knows???

When I was younger we used to have some great games down at the Rosey. When I was a little older we had some great games on the field across from the old DT.

Now we play at Library Field. I took a picture of the field before we started, but I forgot to get the after one, so I will have to wait until after tomorrow morning when we have the Christmas Eve Snow Bowl. I know that it's gonna be cold, but it's gonna be worth it!

First a Heisman, Then a National Championship!

Awesome; Sam won the Heisman! This whole OU story just gets better and better. Looks like things are looking up for the Crimson and Cream, and they deserve all of it, that I know! (Though, here’s what I don’t know: when he's also a National Champion, will Bradford get a ring that he can display next to his Heisman?)

Anyway, tough break for Colt who isn't even going to get to play for a National Title, and too bad too for Tim who isn't even going to win one of those either. Better luck next year!!

P.S. Hey Florida, you better watch out for this...
